A Word From Naia
My love, first of all, thank you for making it this far on the page. I am deeply humbled by your Devotion to exploring this music and its impact.
I write to with a depth of love, gratitude and excitement. I haven't released anything publicly since 2020, when my urban-reggae band, SayReal, wrote, recorded and released a song every. Single. Week. Yep. We did that.
However, I haven't released something under my own name in more than a decade. That's WILD.
My journey has taken me from the vibrant streets of Los Angeles, where I honed my craft as a street performer, to the world’s most renowned stages, including NBC's The Voice, Bonnaroo and SXSW, sharing the essence of my soul through music.
Rooted in a deep passion for social justice, healing and empowerment, I've dedicated my life to uplifting women and young people, guiding them to express their truest selves and share their gifts with the world.
I'm delighted to share that at this point, I've got some pretty powerful accomplishments under my belt - recognized by Rolling Stone Magazine as an "earthy soulstress," named "LA's Hottest New Band" by US Weekly, and developing my voice as a speaker traveling to Greece and sharing the stage with Barack Obama and Goldie Hawn, to name a few.
However...what I'm most proud of has been my Devotion to myself and those I love. Radically accepting every part, honoring every experience and giving voice to every story through song. It is this Devotion that has created the space to channel these songs...which, in my humble view...are truly priceless.
